The Dashboard
A tour of the Cashflow Manager dashboard — the project summary, mini cash flow chart, forecast actions, onboarding, and the settings menu.
The dashboard is your home screen — a one-glance view of the project's cash flow and the launch pad for everything else.
What's on it
| Element | What it shows / does |
|---|---|
| Mini cash flow chart | A compact preview of projected costs, revenue, and net. Click to open the full view. |
| Summary metrics | Total Costs, Total Revenue, and Margin % for the active forecasts. |
| Create / Update Cost Forecast | Opens the forecasting editor for costs. |
| Create / Update Revenue Forecast | Opens the editor for revenue (from your SOV). |
| Full Cash Flow | Opens the detailed cash flow analysis view. |
| Refresh | Reloads all data from Procore. |
| Settings (gear icon) | Setup and configuration tools (below). |
Onboarding stepper
On a new project, the dashboard shows an onboarding stepper that walks you through setup in order: choose a setup type, then map your SOV (or set exclusions for budget-only projects), then build revenue, then cost. It tracks your progress and steps aside once the project is set up.
Settings menu
The gear icon opens the configuration tools:
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Budget Attribute Setup | Sync the head contract's SOV items into Procore attributes (one-time) — see SOV revenue. |
| SOV Assignments | Match budget lines to SOV items for revenue. |
| Import Schedule | Upload a project schedule (MS Project file) — see Schedule integration. |
| Schedule Assignments | Link budget lines to schedule tasks. |
| Data Diagnostics | Developer tools for inspecting Procore data and troubleshooting. |
| Reset Project | Clear all forecasts, schedules, and mappings for the project and start over. |
Reset Project is destructive. It deletes every forecast, schedule source, and mapping for the current project. There's no undo — use it only when you genuinely want a clean slate.
Where to go next
- Build your first forecast: Creating a forecast.
- Understand the numbers: Cash flow analysis.
FAQ
Why are some buttons labelled "Update" instead of "Create"?
The button reflects state. If a cost or revenue forecast already exists, the button updates it; if none exists yet, it creates one.
The numbers look stale — how do I refresh?
Use Refresh to reload everything from Procore. The dashboard caches the last load so it opens fast.
What's the onboarding stepper for?
It guides first-time setup for a project — choosing a setup type, mapping SOV or exclusions, then building revenue and cost. It disappears once setup is complete.
